Lecture by Aaron Schuster and a screening of "En rachâchant" (Jean-Marie Straub & Danièle Huillet), based on Marguerite Duras’s "Ah! Ernesto!", in which a child refuses school because he is taught things he does not know. The film stages a fierce yet poetic resistance to institutional knowledge. The talk reflected on what refuses illustration and narrative clarity, allowing meaning instead to inhabit bodies and speech. The screening was accompanied by a custom-made silkscreened carpet and an arrangement of fresh flowers.

Aaron Schuster (b. 1974, USA) is a philosopher and writer based in Amsterdam whose work engages psychoanalysis, philosophy, and contemporary culture.
